Mt Coot-Tha Botanical Gardens

This is the wholesome family activity we did on New Year’s Day: a visit to the Mt Coot-Tha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane. (I’m mad into gardening lately.) I would have described it as the perfect hangover cure if it hadn’t been so hot and Oh.My.God so, so, so muggy in the tropical display dome. However, there was a truly spectacular array of many different types of cacti and almost every other type of habitat you can imagine: firs, tropical rainforest, weeping willows, bamboo, bonsai, succulents. We saw a friendly kookaburra too!
